Wonderful example of gilded age mansion with a wide selection of historical furniture inside. Enjoyed the back story on Doris Duke and how well maintained the house is. It's not the most immaculate of all the mansions you can see but it's definitely worth the visit. Location on the beach is a fantastic view as well.

Beautiful home! Loved that we could do our own self-guided tour at our leisure. The grounds were so pretty and we enjoyed learning about the history of the Duke family. Tickets were $20/adult.

The entire cliff walk is a wonderful stroll and gives you the view of the Atlantic and the back of some mansions. Most of the trail path is paved and easy walking there are some rocky points for minimal climbing as needed. From one end to the other in the back is about 7 miles but You can just do portions.

We have been to Duke Farms in estate in NJ, so it was nice to check out her summer cottage. It's a grand house, interesting history. Unfortunately, the facade was under renovation and had scaffolding covering it up, we went in late Nov 2021. Otherwise, worth a visit.
